Reconstruction of road II/605 Holoubkov - Rokycany (Borek)

The topic of the master’s thesis is reconstruction of the the road II/605 between municipality of Holoubkov and municipality of Rokycany (Borek) including local adjustments of the road in urban area of municipality of Svojkovice. The reasons for this reconstruction are insufficient parameters of current condition of the road. In Svojkovice are solved adjustments of crossroads, bus stops, parking bays, pavements and bicycle paths.

Labour market and spatial mobility in Plzen region

The Czech Republic underwent considerable social, political and economic changes after 1989. An important step was the creation of the labor market where jobs and wages were created based on market supply and demand. Due to effects of these market forces, unemployment was an unavoidable consequence. . Closely related to this was workforce flexibility which over the years became increasingly important. People migrating for work also had an effect on the housing market. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the labor market in the Plzeň Region and the related spatial mobility since 2000 (with a brief development in the 90's). Another important objective is to determine to what extent the migration of the population is affected by the labor market situation and developments in the housing market. Two major institutions were used as the data source for processing thse reviews. The Labour Market in the Plzeň Region was mapped on the basis of data from the Labour Office in Plzeň. Data on development of spatial mobility and the housing market was gained from the Czech Statistical Office online databases and also from the Regional Office of CSO in Plzen. Analysis of the Development of Physical Capability of members of the Fire and Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic in the Pilsen Region in the years 2012 - 2019

Title: The Analysis of the Development of Physical Capability of Fire Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic in Plzeň Region in 2012-2019 Objectives: The analysis of physical capability of members of Fire Rescue Corps in Plzeň region. The object of diploma thesis is to determine the current state of physical capability of members of Fire Rescue Corps. Moreover, to assess the development of physical capability in last seven years. Methodology: Obtaining data by asking staff members, literature study, processing theoretical basis, processing acquired data, the analysis of results Results: An average age of members of Fire Rescue Corps in Plzeň region is increasing. An average age is 40 years. The results of strength disciplines positively increase and physical capability in this field increase as well. On the contrary, the results of endurance disciplines deteriorate. The most surprising finding is a deteriorating result in running. Migration as a theme of regional elections in 2016

This diploma thesis aims on the migration as one of topics relevant in the regional election in 2016. This topic became resonating in Czech environment and appeared to be a theme for several political subjects across whole political spectrum. The author of this thesis focuses on four regions: South-Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions, Plzeň region and Ústí region. In respect of these territorial units the author aims on topic of migration as itself, considering not only election 2016 but also the 2012 poll, in order to clarify if the migration topic is entirely new or if it has already shown up in the Czech political environment in previous elections. The author aims on the first and second order election problematics in the thesis and also analysis the role of parties' centers and periphery in the regional election of the years 2016 and 2012 in the territorial units mentioned above respectively. The author supports the research with a survey. The thesis consists of two parts. First part is theoretical one, where the author defines the concept of migration, kinds of migration, etc. The author also explains the theory of first and second order election. Paradiplomacy of municipalities in South Bohemia and Plzeň region

This diploma thesis determines the foreign activities of municipalities in South Bohemia and Plzeň region (i.e. paradiplomacy) and so by the analysis of cross-border municipal partnerships. The term paradiplomacy is defined, European regional policy, possibilities of financial support of mentioned activities and institutionalized forms of co-operation among municipalities are presented. Special attention is given primarily to the cross-border partnerships that are the main subject of interest of the diploma thesis. The thesis is based on an analytical-empirical approach. There are also used the methods of comparative politics and statistical and mathematical methods for evaluation of data.

The diploma thesis deals with library service quality in relation to the development of library budgets. In the introductory chapter, the teoretical knowledge of service quality is gathered and summarized. The next chapter is focused on the PLIS standard. Attention is paid to its history and current form. The next chapter present an integrated view of the librarianship in the Plzeň region, its financing and regional function. In the next chapter is a detailed analysis of three libraries focussed on their financing, performance indicators and filling PLIS standard. The next chapter looks ahead to autors subjective evaluation of quality of library services in analysed libraries.

European real estate market of holiday homes

The master thesis examines the real estate market of holiday homes (also called second homes) in France and in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to compare the both markets on the basis of analyses and comparison of acquired information. The thesis focuses on the aspects which directly influence the market, the supply and the price of holiday homes. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter presents the actual situation of research on the subject, the methodology and the structure of this thesis. The second chapter defines term holiday home and the typology of holiday homes. The third chapter separately analyses and then compares the Czech and French real estate market of holiday homes in terms of its size, typology of owners, taxation and charges of the holiday home. The fourth chapter focuses on sale of the holiday home and the factors which influence the value and the price of house. The last chapter examines types of the holiday homes, their supply and their price in two particular markets, Limousin and the Plzeň Region. The conclusion of the thesis is the recognition that the markets of both surveyed countries could have the potential for the development.
